Why am I part of the Ostrava 2015 preparatory team?
As soon as I learned in 2009 that Ostrava was competing for the title of European Capital of Culture 2015, I immediately knew that it was a huge opportunity for Ostrava and that I would help the project in whatever way I could –first as a volunteer, then as an external worker, and since February 2010 as part of the team. Working on this project is a singular opportunity for me to take part in a meaningful project that has the aim of influencing life in Ostrava for many years to come.

Why should Ostrava earn the title of ECOC 2015?
Ostrava is a unique, bizarre city. Ostrava is exceptional, irreplaceable. The title of European Capital of Culture 2015 should give Ostrava the chance to demonstrate and develop these attributes on a European scale. Let’s not prevent Ostrava from showing Europe its uniqueness.
