Why am I involved in the project?
It is a great personal challenge and represents a unique opportunity for me to apply all of my experience as a dramaturge, producer, and public and media relations specialist. But it is more than just a personal ambition. I want to help the city where I was born and where I am bringing up my children.

… and why should Ostrava be Capital of Culture 2015?
Because it can help to change the city’s face, to change the lives of its people, to ensure that talented and exceptional young people no longer leave Ostrava, that Ostrava makes full use of its position on the border of three European countries and becomes a multicultural metropolis. And has Ostrava got what it takes? There are many people living and working here who have enormous creative potential. These people now have the opportunity to unite in pursuing a common goal, to channel their energy into change. And we can succeed – that is clear from the examples of other cities which have used Capital of Culture status to deal with their industrial past and have turned this transformation into a reality.
