The candidacy also sparked a series of one-off cultural events. Events such as themulti-genre event Black Meadow Happening!!! took place on the site ofthe future Black Meadow Cluster; the OSTRAVA? exhibition, which wascurated by Lenka Lindaurová; the art-oriented celebration ApplicationFest to mark the submission of the second, updated version of Ostrava's applicationfor the competition for the title of European Capital of Culture 2015; and the periodic Ostrava Arrivals project have enriched the city's cultural life in recent years.
